RISO to Showcase Post-Processing Automation at drupa 2024, the World's Largest International Printing and Media Industry Exhibition

RISO KAGAKU CORPORATION will showcase at drupa 2024, the world's largest international printing and media industry exhibition in Düsseldorf, Germany, from May 28 to June 7.

Under the theme of "We Innovate. You Benefit / Sustainable Automation," RISO will introduce the high-speed inkjet printer ComColor GL9730 and production printer VALEZUS T2200/T1200, combined with various post-processing devices. Those in-line solutions automate printing to post-processing, contributing to labor efficiency.

Inkjet printing technology suitable for in-line connection with various post-processing equipment

RISO has developed unique quick-drying oil-based pigment ink that does not require heat during printing. The ink minimizes paper ripping or curling after printing, and ensures smooth post-processing immediately after printing.

Fully automated inserting after printing

When combined with Pitney Bowes'inserter, the ComColor GL9730 is designed to help enhance labor efficiency by elevating automation such as printing, folding, enclosing, and sealing. You can eliminate any manual process between the printing and post-printing processes, improving the security of enclosed printed materials.

Fully automatic booklet making

By connecting the ComColor GL9730 or VALEZUS T1200 in-line with saddle-stitch binding machines from SDD and Plockmatic, the system automates the entire process from booklet printing to saddle-stitching, square-folding, and three-side trimming. With the market demanding more versatile and short-run production, this booklet solution takes full advantage of the high printing speed of 165 pages per minute* with the easy replenishment of the cut-sheet paper.

*For A4 long-edge feed and simplex printing. For duplex printing, 164 pages per minute.

Improving productivity in envelope printing

Connecting the ComColor GL9730 in-line to a UCOS envelope feeder delivers high-speed, non-stop envelope printing. With RISO's unique inkjet technology without using heat during printing, the in-line system can process a wide range of envelopes, including ones with windows.
