RISO to Showcase at Horizon Smart Factory 2026 in HIP, Proposing Production Automation and Labor-saving Solutions
RISO KAGAKU CORPORATION (RISO) will exhibit at Horizon Smart Factory 2026 in HIP, hosted by Horizon International Inc. (Horizon), held at the Horizon Innovation Park Headquarters in Takashima City, Shiga, Japan from Wednesday, October 28, 2026.
Under the theme "LIGHTS OUT, COEXISTENCE: THE AUTOMATED FUTURE," the exhibition showcases automated and unmanned processes implemented across all stages of production, printing, post-processing, packaging, and transportation. In the automated workflow demonstration within the Lights Out Zone, RISO will showcase a fully automated printing and binding workflow through the integration of the VALEZUS T2200 production printer with Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), and Horizon's postpress management system, "iCE LiNK." In the packaging process, RISO will present a package printing solution combining the Integlide inkjet print engine for short-run package printing with Horizon's automated box-making system.
Through live demonstrations, RISO will present its latest smart factory solutions designed to address shop-floor labor shortages, optimize throughput, and enhance productivity. We sincerely look forward to welcoming you.

1. Integration of the VALEZUS T2200 Production Printer and iCE LiNK
In the automated workflow demonstration within the Lights Out Zone, RISO will showcase a fully automated, end-to-end production flow. Printed sheets from the VALEZUS T2200 production printer are transferred to a buffer (intermediary holding) area using Horizon's Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) and Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), followed by automated feeding into perfect binding and saddle-stitching systems for binding processing.
Furthermore, the VALEZUS series officially supports the Printer Dashboard in Horizon's cloud-based workflow system, "iCE LiNK." Through the iCE LiNK Printer Dashboard, the operating status of VALEZUS printers and the processing progress of Horizon postpress equipment can be displayed and monitored on a single screen. Connecting information from printing through postpress gives operators a unified view of equipment status, making overall production status easier to monitor and improving production visibility and management.

2. On-demand Packaging Printing with the Integlide Inkjet Print Engine
RISO will perform printing demonstrations of its inkjet package printing solution, combining the Integlide inkjet print engine with automated corrugated box assembly robots integrated into the box-making and packaging process.
The exhibit demonstrates printing destination labels and custom design on demand onto flat plain corrugated cardboard boxes, followed immediately by automated robotic assembly. RISO proposes a novel solution fusing packaging process automation with short-run on-demand package printing.
3. Business Negotiation Area Exhibits (Including ComColor GN9830)
At the business negotiation area within the RISO booth, standalone printing demonstrations of the ComColor GN9830 high-speed inkjet printer will be conducted. A wide variety of print samples will be displayed, and RISO representatives will offer individual business consultations and technical advice tailored to specific customer applications.
