Digital Duplicating Technology

The latest digital technology merged with stencil printing basics

Stencil printing involves perforations in a master and pressing ink through the holes to transfer an image onto paper. Although this is an extremely simple process, producing the masters and carrying out printing requires significant amounts of time and labor.
RISOGRAPH is produced by efforts to develop a printer that can be easily operated by anyone. Fusing RISO's unique digital technologies with the principles of stencil printing, RISOGRAPH automate processes ranging from making a master and attaching it to the printing drum to supplying ink, processes that were previously performed manually.
1) image scanning, 2) master making, 3) automated master loading/master removal, 4) paper feeding, 5) printing, 6) automated inking and 7) paper ejection.
