History of RISOGRAPH

RISOGRAPH has long been a favorite printer of schools and offices. Here we showcase the various versions of the RISOGRAPH through successive generations.

Origin of the RISOGRAPH

In 1958 RISO completed development and launched a mimeograph printing device called the RISO-GRAPH. This product solved the problems of flat-frame mimeographs, which were in common use at the time, and was the starting point for a printer RISOGRAPH.

In 1967 RISO developed the RISO FAX, a thermal screen maker that copies originals to dedicated mimeograph paper using an infrared lamp. This innovation was followed in 1974 by the RISO XENOFAX, the foundation of today's RISOGRAPH.
